Scope

In scope:

• Get an ESP8266/Arduino connected to home WiFi
• Basic sketch that connects and confirms connectivity (e.g. pings a server or serves a status page)

Out of scope:

• The final application this connectivity will power (separate project once this works)

Deliverables

• ESP8266 module arrives
• Wire up + flash test sketch
• Confirm stable WiFi connection
• Document pinout + working sketch

• Arduino IDE + board package

Definition of done

• Module connects to home WiFi reliably and holds connection for 24 hours
